Handling
How a car drives is set in handling.meta, in values such as fInitialDriveForce. ModFiveM shows them as sliders with plain names and keeps the exact value beside each one.
Where handling lives
handling.meta has one block per handling name. The car’s vehicles.meta says which block it uses, in its handlingId.
Two cars can share a handling name, and then a change to it changes both cars. Handling tells you when the handling is shared.
The sliders
Top speed changes
fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel: how fast the engine can pull the car on flat ground.Acceleration changes
fInitialDriveForce: how hard the engine pushes.Braking changes
fBrakeForce: how hard the brakes bite.Grip changes
fTractionCurveMaxandfTractionCurveMin: how well the tyres hold the road in corners.Weight changes
fMass: the car’s weight in kilograms, which matters most when cars hit each other.Suspension changes
fSuspensionForce: how stiff the springs are.
Every slider shows the exact value beside it. If you already know handling.meta, type the number.
Test it
Change one or two sliders at a time.
Export, and restart the resource on your server.
Drive the car on a straight and through a few corners, then come back and adjust.
Bilmekte fayda var
The top speed value is not the speed you will see in the game. Gears, drag and the engine all play a part, so the real top speed is usually a little different. Drive it to know.
Server limits
Many servers limit handling, such as the highest acceleration or top speed, to keep cars fair. Check your server’s rules before you push a car past the game’s own cars.
