A Swedish police car in FiveM
A Swedish police car on a FiveM server is an ordinary car resource with emergency lights, the right plate and police markings. You do all of it in the vehicle editor, without ZModeler or OpenIV.
Start with the car
Start from the car you want as a police car, for example a Volvo or a Saab as a FiveM resource. Open the car’s folder in the vehicle editor with Choose folder.
If the car came as a dlc.rpf, an OIV or a downloaded pack, first make it a FiveM resource with Make a car FiveM-ready. It is free.
Emergency lights from the game’s police cars
Open Sirens.
Under From the game’s cars, pick one of the game’s police cars. Choose With light bar if you want its light bar on the roof. The bar is added as a part you can move, rotate and scale.
Move the lights to where the car’s lamps and bar are, and change the colour or flashing of single lights if you like.
Press Test in the dark to see the lights flash.
The editor picks a free Siren ID for the car. Every car with sirens on the server needs its own ID, or one of them flashes with the wrong lights.
A Swedish number plate
The game’s plates are almost square, but a Swedish plate is long and narrow, 41 × 8.6 cm, with the EU band and an S on the left. ModFiveM swaps the car’s plates for one like that.
Open Plate and choose Own plate.
Pick the template Sweden with a blue band, or Sweden black S with a black band.
Add a plate holder with your own text if you like.
Good to know
The server decides the letters and numbers, as on every car. ModFiveM changes the plate’s shape and background.
Police markings
Checks, stripes and the word POLIS go on with Stickers. The library has stripe patterns with POLIS, AMBULANS and RÄDDNINGSTJÄNST that you colour yourself, and you can add your own text and pictures.
The library has no government emblems. Use only pictures you have the right to use.
If the car already has markings in its texture, change them under Textures.
LED lights that flash with the siren
With LED lights you draw thin light strips on the car, for example in the grille or on the bumper. A strip that flashes with the siren lights up when you turn the siren on with E, just like the emergency lights.
Every flashing strip takes a siren slot, and a car has at most 20 slots, shared with the emergency lights.
Good to know
LED lights are new and marked BETA in the editor. Try the car on a test server before it goes live.
The siren sound
The siren sound follows the car’s engine sound. Under Name & sound, choose one of the game’s sounds, for example POLICE, and the siren sounds like the game’s police cars.
Export and try it
Press Export and download the ZIP.
Put the folder in the server’s resources, add ensure with the car’s name to server.cfg and restart the server.
Spawn the car and turn the siren on with E.
