From gta5-mods to your FiveM server
Most cars on gta5-mods are made for single player and come as a dlc.rpf or an OIV. This is how such a car becomes a resource that works on your FiveM server.
Before you start
Check that the car's author allows it to be used on a server, and keep the file just as you downloaded it.
1. Make the car FiveM-ready
Open Make a car FiveM-ready and drop the file as it came: ZIP, RAR, 7z, OIV or dlc.rpf.
You get a resource with fxmanifest.lua, the stream folder and the meta files, and faults that make the car invisible to other players are fixed. The tool is free.
Good to know
Some packs are encrypted with the game's own keys and cannot be read. Then take the car's files out with OpenIV first and drop those instead.
2. Change the car if you like
Open the resource in the vehicle editor with Choose folder to move seats, swap rims, make the windows bulletproof, set up sirens or add markings. Editing is free, and the export costs credits for what you changed.
3. Keep the car under FiveM's limits
FiveM measures how much memory the car's textures take in the game and warns at 16, 32 and 48 MiB. A car that is too big can stream badly or disappear for other players.
Under Textures you see how much the car takes and shrink the textures until it fits.
4. Add the car to the server
Put the car's folder in the server's resources.
Add ensure with the folder's name to server.cfg and restart the server.
Spawn the car by its Spawn name, for example in vMenu.
